It's the mid 1930's and the RAF's frontline fighters are still open cockpit biplanes. The Hawker Fury was the RAF's first 200mph fighter and was a delight to fly, this was the last operational generation of biplane aircraft and the first monoplane fighter, the Hawker Hurricane, owes much of its initial design to the Fury.

Three 25 Squadron Fury 1's have departed RAF Hawkinge in Kent and have flown south over the channel for an evening training sortie on a warm summer evening.
