A Trekker freighter/shuttle "HighFly" emerges from the dark side of Jupiter en-route to a science base on Europa. Jupiter has the second largest energy and gravity field in the Solar system making these high speed transits a dangerous proposition for un-hardened craft.
The Trekker 191 model is an "in-system" general purpose fleet vehicle designed to provide a fast and flexible capability from Earth to all of the outlying colonies.
This painting was completed in the late 1980's as part of a large set of work based on my own designs. There were no prints produced.
Original oil on board. I digitally re-mastered the old 1980’s library image in late 2018 for future print and publishing.
