The cruiser Northstar approaches a huge gas giant during a distant survey mission many light years from earth. Two of its Sabic II's are deployed to further extend the sensor screen as it maps the surrounding moon system.

The discovery class cruisers are a key inter-system federation asset for both exploration and security. They are fast, well armed and highly configured with long range sensors and analysis capabilities as humans extend the perimeter of the outer-rim systems.
