Thunderbird 1 is a hypersonic, sleek, variable geometry rocket powered fast response aircraft that acts as a reconnaissance and forward control asset. Gerry Anderson’s “Thunderbirds “ TV series was introduced to us in September 1965 with 32 episodes, the series achieved legendary status for those of us who grew up in those years. Thunderbirds was set in the 2060’s so we’ll see in 30+ years if it was an accurate prediction of a global high speed rescue service run from a remote island by a wealthy American astronaut.

Thunderbird 1 is a fabulous vehicle, I may do a much larger painting of it in the future.
