NCC 1701 Enterprise leaves orbit captained by Admiral James T Kirk. Enterprise has just finished an 18 month refit and has been hurridly launched to intercept a potent and destructive threat thats been detected heading towards earth.
I've been a committed Trekkie for most of my adult life, the Enterprise is a beautifully aesthetic ship and has served as the inspiration for several paintings. Of all the Enterprise varients this is my favourite, the technology and design concepts created for StarTrek has dominated much of the SF market for over 50yrs.
The painting was another of my first set of space based works painted in the 1980's and was sold without being proofed for prints. I digitally re-mastered the old 1980’s library image in late 2018 for future print and publishing.
